Felix Billeter, PhD, independent art historian in Munich, study in Vienna, Braunschweig, Würzburg and Munich, dissertation on Flemish Baroque painting, project-related cooperation with museums and private collectors, publications and editorships about art and collections of the 19th and 20th century.
Dr. Billeter has been head of the Hans Purrmann Archive since 2001 and has been significantly involved in writing the catalogues raisonnés of the paintings (2004) and of the water colours and gouaches (2008). Julie Kennedy, M. A., Kunsthistorikerin in München, studierte Germanistik und Kunstgeschichte in Montréal, Regensburg, Köln, München und Berlin. Von 1996 bis 2000 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Kunstgeschichte der Université de Montréal, dort Spezialisierung auf den europäischen Symbolismus und das Werk Franz von Stucks. Von 2003 bis 2013 Kuratorin mehrerer Ausstellungen im Auftrag des Fördervereins Franz von Stuck. Publikationen zu Stucks Leben und Werk, zu dessen Kommilitonen und Schülern an der Münchner Kunstakademie (u. a. Julius Exter, Hans Purrmann, Winold Reiss, Walter Trier) sowie zur Grafik und Karikatur in Münchner Künstlervereinen um 1900 und zur satirischen Kunstrezeption im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert. Julie Kennedy arbeitet gegenwärtig an einer Dissertation über Franz von Stuck in der Karikatur sowie an einer Biografie des Künstlers. Sie ist Mitarbeiterin am Stadtarchiv München, am Historischen Verein von Oberbayern, und seit Februar 2016 im Hans Purrmann Archiv.

 

Lisa Kern-Hogen, art historian in Munich, studied history of art, English literature, and history of Early Christian and Byzantine art at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. She is writing her dissertation on the Dresden artist Constantin von Mitschke-Collande (1884-1956). From 2007 until 2010, she worked for the public relations department of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen for the Pinakothek Museums in the Kunstareal München. Since 2010 she has been a scientific staff member of the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus München in the department art collection/archive/provenance research. Since 2012 she has been working for the Hans Purrmann Archive.

Christian Lenz, PhD, Dr. habil., professor for medieval and contemporary art history at the LMU Munich, former state conservator of the Bavarian State Painting Collections Munich, expert on the 19th and early 20th century of the Neue Pinakothek and head of the Max Beckmann Archive Munich. Publisher of the catalogue raisonné of Hans Purrmann. Several publications on the art after the 16th century, especially art of the 19th and 20th century.

 

Pia Dornacher, PhD, independent art historian, study in Munich, dissertation on Heimrad Prem (1934-1978), independent exhibition curator Kunsthalle zu Kiel, Städt. Galerie im Lenbachhaus München, Museum Villa Stuck München, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, catalogues raisonnés of Heimrad Prem, Lothar Fischer and Rupprecht Geiger, publications on art after 1945, since 1999 she has had a teaching position at the LMU Munich, since 2004 she has had the artistic direction of the Museum Lothar Fischer Neumarkt i.d. OPf., member of the board of the Lothar & Christel Fischer Foundation and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Bildhauermuseen und Skulpturensammlungen, since 2009 she has worked for the Hans Purrmann Archive.

 

Eva Fritz, M.A., independent art historian in Munich, studied ”Literature-Art-Media“ and administrative sciences at the University of Konstanz, after that she completed the master degree course: “Aisthesis - Art and Literature Discourses from a Historical Perspective” at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Augsburg University, and Regensburg University.
From 2010 until 2012, she worked for the press and public relations department of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen for the Pinakothek Museums in the Kunstareal München. Since 2014 she has been working for Munich Re Art Collection, and for the Hans Purrmann Archive.
